Intro to cameras

  • By pressing the menu you would be able to change the recording size to 1080p.

  •  The exposure controls involve the ISO, shutter speed and aperture which have to be set to a certain amount in order to get the effect that you are looking for. For example the shutter speed should be set to a 50th of a second to avoid motion blur. Another example would be ISO, in natural daylight it should be set on 100, if it is higher than 1600 then the image/video will become grainy and over exposed.

  • In the menu section you would be able to change the picture style, ideally it should be set on neutral to get a flat video to then edit in post production.

  • White balance gives good lighting and almost adjusts the colours of the light in that room.

  • Ideally MF (manual focus) should be used so that during the filming the camera isn't constantly auto focusing and making a weird noise. Auto focus is usually used for photography.
